Neil Scarisbrick

Neil is off to watch the Hurricanes play on Saturday 1st April in their Super 14 clash with the Crusaders in Wellington.

As our membership will know, our Fixtures Secretary, Neil Scarisbrick, has recently emigrated to New Zealand. Neil has agreed to become our NZ rugby correspondent once he has settled in in place of John Murphy, whose dispatches dried up many moon’s ago! Neil’s first dispatch has arrived.

Neil will supply us with fresh news from NZ, and now we all can place bets on NZRL games. Find the best odds by making a comparison of the most popular betting apps and you will be on the crest of a wave.

 Pre Season Training 

The Start date is Thursday 6 July at Potterne Park from 7.00 p.m.The next two Thursdays are at Southbourne beach at St Katherine’s Path from 7.00 p.m. Compulsory dip in the sea after training and before beer. Thereafter, we are back at Potterne Park each Thursday from 7.00 p.m. Rubber studs and trainers are essential. Bring water. And beer money. AND SUBSCRIPTIONS.

Summer Touch Rugby 2006

This was the seventh year of the Club’s Annual Tournament which was featured in 2003 on Sky Sport’s Sport’s Nation. It all started on Thursday 18th May. We welcomed the return of the Touchie Feelie who won the Hookway cup after a thrilling finale and a play off to beat the Swans by scoring a Golden Try. The Nick Carlyon Memorial Game

This was the Club’s final game of the season when Past played Present on Saturday 29th April. Once again it was a very high scoring and entertaining game with the Present drawing with the Past 38-38.
